Two Ontario District Quartets Among The Greatest Who Never Won Gold

And YOU Can Make That Title Official

Two Ontario District quartets are among the top quartets never to win an International gold medal. Both the Four Chorders and the Nighthawks reached as high as second place (in 1953 and 1963 respectively) but never claimed the top prize. A committee of barbershop historians, AIC members, and other members of the judging community has recently ranked both quartets as one of the 25 greatest quartets who never won.

This summer, 20 of these 25 quartets will selected for a competition like no other. Exclusive performances from deep in the Barbershop Harmony Society archives will be released for free on the Society YouTube channel. Over two nights of competitions, one quartet will be selected as the very best who never won. Even better, YOU can be a judge.

For a full immersion experience, purchase a ticket to The Legacy Quartet Championship and use your vote to pick the winners. The rankings from ticket holders will determine what quartets make it to the finals and what quartet is ultimately deemed the winner. Ticket holders will also receive exclusive access to an interactive chat experience of their choice, hosted by BHS historians, judges, coaches, and gold medalists.

Ontario District is proud to sponsor this innovative event, and we would love to add another international title to our name. You can help make it happen!
