Harmony Ranch Celebrates 45 Years

By Frank Parkinson

For some members of Harmony Ranch Recreation club, it seems like only yesterday that this campground for Barbershoppers began!  1973, a good year.  Forty Five years later we have mature trees, acres of grass to run and play on, and friends to sing with!  Currently we have nine available lots out of the 115 Lot total.  This is an opportunity for a Barbershop family to find a very fine summer place.

There is a considerable list of fun activities planned for our anniversary year.  A great show was presented for the Victoria Day weekend, featuring Harmony Ranch’s world famous Baldwin Blend Mixed Chorus, The Black River Chorus and many quartets.  Much later in the season on September 1st,  HR’s Black River Chorus will feature yet another Barbershop Show in our refurbished heritage barn.  Harmony Ranch is looking forward to welcoming Ontario District members as they gather for the Ontario Quartet Event, August 11th.  Ontario District’s Senior Chorus, The Maple Leaf Chord Company, have a rehearsal planned on Sunday, July 22nd.  Many other family orientated events are planned throughout our 45th Anniversary year!

Barbershoppers and their families are always welcome to come, visit and explore the park. Take a moment to visit our website, www.campandsing.com.
