A near sold-out audience applauded the Harbourtown Sound performance at their annual spring show on 12 May 2018, at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre.
Hits from Broadway featured songs from boffo shows, such as Carousel, Man of La Mancha, Les Miz, and West Side Story. Several of the chorus quartets performed as well, to the delight of everyone attending.
Special guests, the award-winning ‘Shoptimus Prime quartet, entertained the enthusiastic audience as only they can, and joined the chorus onstage for the finale.
Earlier in the month, in a final lead-up to the show, Harbourtown Sound performed at the annual memorial service of the Ontario Association of Fire Chiefs, an extremely moving event in honour of its members who have passed away during the past year. This has become an annual event for HTS, the seventh time the chorus has performed for the OAFC.
The next appearance for the chorus will be in Hamilton on 5 June 2018, at the Barton Street Festival.
