Ontario District member Daniel Berlin has created an introductory course to music theory and notation aimed specifically at barbershop singers. The course, offered on the Scarborough Dukes of Harmony website, is available to all district members by clicking the link below or under the Music and Performance section of the Resources menu of this website. It’s broken into four sections: Fundamentals of Sound & Pitch, Fundamentals of Rhythm, Important Music Definitions, and Music Notation; and takes about two hours to complete all the way through.
