Entries Open for Spring Contest

Since the weather has been so cold, it is time to begin thinking of warmer weather. What better way than to enter the Ontario District Spring contest to be held at Global Kingdom Ministries in Scarborough? Entries are now open for the following contests:

  • Ontario District Chorus Contest
  • International Preliminary Quartet Contest
  • Ontario District Seniors Quartet Contest
  • International Preliminary Collegiate Quartet Contest
  • Ontario District Novice Quartet Contest

Cutoff for entries is Friday, March 11, 2016

Quartets wishing to enter the International Collegiate Quartet Contest must submit their entries to Society Headquarters in Nashville. All other entries may be made online using the CJ-20 entry form which is available in ebiz under Contest Entry. Complete all of the necessary information for your quartet or chorus and your completed entry will be forwarded to me. I will issue a reply indicating you are entered.

Entries are also open for choruses wishing to enter the Chorus Contest FOR EVALUATION ONLY. Choruses choosing this option will be scored as if they were in the contest and will receive the full evaluation, but their scores will not appear on the contest scoresheet. It will only be available to your chorus.

This Spring we are also hoping to allow quartets to enter the contest FOR EVALUATION ONLY, but there is one proviso. We are allowed up to 25 quartets in the contest without having to increase the number of judges (at considerable extra expense to the District). Therefore all quartets entering the actual contests will be given first priority up to these 25 slots. If there are slots available to get to the 25 limit, then quartets who have entered FOR EVALUATION ONLY, will be afforded these additional slots on a first entered first accepted basis.
