2015 Fall Convention Results

After a fantastic weekend of barbershop hosted by the Quinte Chapter, the Ontario District crowned a new District Quartet Champion and qualified a number of groups for 2016 International competitions.

Yonge Guns were named the district quartet champions with an average score of 80.1. Yonge Guns becomes the second youngest quartet to win the title, with the second highest score in district history. Basses Unlimited qualified for the International Seniors Quartet Competition next January in Reno, NV. Two other quartets, On Q! and Trailer Park Boys, put up scores this weekend that have a strong chance of earning them a wildcard spot in the contest. Two From The Soo were named the novice quartet champions.

In the chorus contest, the Toronto Northern Lights qualified for the International Chorus Compeition next July in Nashville, TN with a score of 89.5, while the Hamilton Harbourtown Sound posted a personal best score of 82.2 that gives them a strong chance at a wildcard spot in the contest.
