Joe Barbershop Chorus
The Joe Barbershop Chorus is open to any barbershopper attending convention who wishes to sing in it. The chorus meets on Saturday morning of convention to rehearse, and then serves as the mic tester at the chorus contest later that morning.
Fall 2017 Director
Richard Frenette was born in Quebec City and has been an active member of the BHS since 1989 when he was introduced to this hobby by a fellow Frenchman, who happened to be the Director of the Montreal Island City Chorus. Richard is currently a member of the 2013 International Champions, Toronto Northern Lights. He has been actively coaching quartets for several years and more recently, at the annual Ontario Quartet Event, where he also directs the OQE chorus in songs. Richard has been a section leader and Assistant Director in other choruses. He is currently the director of the: "C-Way Sound" chorus in Cornwall Ontario. His passion is teaching tags to anyone who will listen.
